Cleopatra killed by drug cocktail?
Thu Jul 1, 2010
From accounts I have read of her, she was comely but not beautiful. She definitely did not look like Elizabeth Taylor did in 1964. And a bite from an asp (like bites from the poisonous snakes that are in the U.S.) is disfiguring.
Social networking seldom gets new grads hired
Mon May 10, 2010
There are almost as many "right" ways to get jobs as there are types of jobs.
Harry Patch, Britain’s last WWI soldier, dies
Sat Jul 25, 2009
A group that has almost faded in history---those who fought in "The War to End All Wars," World War I. Before Communism, before the atomic bomb, before antibiotics (many of the casualties from WWI were from disease).

‘Little House’ star reveals her life in fast lane
Tue Jun 9, 2009
That Melissa Gilbert has admitted to her indiscretions is a plus. It seems that both of the older girls on Little House had problematic lives around the time of Little House and afterward (like so many other child stars). Nothing like Laura on Little House.
Dying Manson follower seeks parole
Thu Jun 4, 2009
Neither she nor the rest of the Manson Family will get out alive. Definitely not as long as any member of the Tate family is alive. They have been tried in courts of law and in the court of the media and found guilty.
Attempted Ford assassin: ‘I think it was wrong’
Thu May 28, 2009
It must have been the law back then that gave her parole after 32 years. Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme, who was as guilty as Sara Jane Moore, is still in jail (probably because of her association with the very infamous Charles Manson, who will never get out of prison---not even after he is dead).
Dying bulldog saves owner from fire
Mon May 25, 2009
A very heartwarming story indeed. And a very heroic dog, a dog who is close to death herself pulling her master from the crevasse of death. And that is heroic regardless of breed of dog (all dogs can be aggressive, and all dogs can be heroes).
Teen suspended for going to girlfriend's prom
Sun May 10, 2009
Schools like that give the Baptist denomination a bad name. I am a Baptist, and I went to both my junior and senior proms (I am now 44) and I still go to dances.
U.S. politician dodges mortar attack in Somalia
Mon Apr 13, 2009
Somalia has been a war zone for quite a few years now. It essentially is a country without a government. Color matters nothing to a terrorist---just being an American.
